A silver collection lasts a lifetime and beyond, so it's worth piecing together carefully, and though the cocktail fork may not be an essential building block of such a collection, it can be an exceptional flourish. After all, what could be more luxurious than pulling a tender escargot from its shell with the delicate and beautiful tool designed for just such a purpose? Towle has been a premier name in sterling silver craftsmanship for generations. This fork comes in Towle's Old Master pattern, classic in its medley of Early Victorian motifs: the shape of the handle curves gracefully into a shape reminiscent of the body of a violin, and a delicate rosette is offset by curling vines that climb to a crest at the top of the handle. The pattern is relatively ornate, but in its timeless tradition, it can augment without overwhelming a more contemporary pattern.
